Self Employment Direct loan Scheme :The Corporation will provide loans and subsidies to the unemployed belonging to Scheduled Caste SCs to buy handcarts and buy vegetables and fruits from farmers and sell them by push cart to earn income by self-employment.

Features of Self Employment Direct loan Scheme

• Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to unemployed men and women belonging to Scheduled Caste Madika castes to undertake self-employment.
• The unit cost of the project is Rs. 50,000/- out of which Rs. 25,000/- subsidy and Rs. 25,000/- loan.
• Loan amount per cent. The corporation will have to be reimbursed in 30 equal instalments at the interest rate of 4.

Eligibility Criteria of Self Employment Direct loan Scheme

• Applicants should belong to scheduled caste sadigas and related castes.
• If a caste certificate is submitted under the name Adi Karnataka, Adi Andra and Adi Dravida, a self-declaration certificate must be submitted by entering the original caste.
• Should be a resident of Karnataka state.
• If any member dependent on the applicant/family has been availed by the corporation in the past, such beneficiaries will not be eligible.
• Applicants should have the space required to set up the unit.

Self Employment Direct loan Scheme Rules

• Applicants should be selected by the selection committee.
• The annual income of the applicant’s family should be within the limit of Rs.1,50,000/- for rural areas and Rs.2,00,000/- for urban areas.
• Applicants should be in the age group of 21 to 50 years.
• Loan/subsidy will be sanctioned on the basis of proposed trade/activity.
• If the sanctioned beneficiary is found to be ineligible, the sanction will be cancelled at any stage.
• Subsidy and loan will be released directly to beneficiaries/vendors.
