Scholarships are given to meritorious students who are economically and socially backward by the state government. Many departments and corporations are offering scholarships every year. Using this scholarship given by the government, students are being helped to pursue higher education.
These Scholarships Are Changing The Future Of Millions Of Students Over The Years. Scholarships are given to students to study not only in the country but also abroad. Here is a list of some popular scholarship programmes offered to students.
Sandipani Scholarship
This scholarship is given by the Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board to economically backward Brahmin students. This scholarship is given for these purposes.
To cover the cost of textbooks.
To obtain study equipment such as electronic devices (laptop, mobile) etc.
Hostel Fees
It is offered for traffic, bus passes and other expenses.
Eligibility criteria to be available for this scholarship
The annual income should be less than Rs 8 lakh.
The application should be accompanied by ews certificate and Brahmin caste certificate.
Students studying in government and universities recognized courses after SSLC are eligible for this scholarship.
This scholarship is 33 per cent will be given to the student. Percent. 5 per cent is given to specially-abled persons. Preference is given to students with orphans and single parents.
Scholarships for farmer children
Scholarships are given by the Government of Karnataka to the children of farmers. The main objective of this programme is that children of farmers should not be deprived of education. The scheme was implemented in 2021.
Annual scholarships are given to help farmer children who pass the SSLC examination and join various courses. Students selected for this scholarship annually will be given Rs 2,500 for admission to PUC, ITI and diploma courses.
Scholarships for SC students
In the post-matric scholarship from the Social Welfare Department, students belonging to scheduled castes are given financial assistance to pursue higher education in foreign universities. If the course fee ranges from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh, 50 per cent of the fee will be paid.
Scholarships from backward classes welfare department
Vidyasiri- Food and Housing Scholarship Scheme is given to the students by the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Under this scheme, a student who does not have hostel facility will get Rs 1,500 per month directly into the account of such students. Will be transferred.
Students after class 8 are eligible to apply. Yet post-matric scholarships are given to obc students. In addition to this, the fees for higher education courses will be reimbursed.
Scholarship from the Labour Board
The Karnataka Labour Board has been set up for the development of workers. Scholarships are given to the children of families of unorganised workers. All the students studying in different classes will get this scholarship facility.
Students studying from class 8 to 10 will be given Rs 3,000 per year. A scholarship of Rs 4,000 will be given to students studying PUC/ITI/Diploma, Rs 5,000 to those studying in degree courses, Rs 6,000 for post-graduate courses and Rs 10,000 per year till engineering/medical courses.
Eligibility criteria for availing this scholarship
General category students should have secured 50% marks and SC/ST students should have secured 45% marks in the final examination of the previous year.
